ENLIGHTENING

Famous for its noiseless clean sustain, the Philosopher's Tone has staked its claim in the crowded world of compressor pedals. In addition to Volume and Sustain controls, the Philosopher's Tone features a parallel Blend knob that allows the musician to mix their instrument's original tone with the compressed sound effect. This technique restores natural pick-attack and allows more extreme sustain settings to remain musical. The Treble control provides up to a 6db cut or boost at 2kHz for fine-tuning the frequency response of the effect. The Philosopher's Tone features true-bypass switching and internal 18V power rails for maximum clean headroom, even when used with hot pickups and line level signals.

Mellow Sustain

For players who want to instantly mellow out their tone while adding sustain for effortless lead lines and blossoming chords. Turn the Treble knob completely counterclockwise for a sweet low pass effect and set Blend to noon to preserve the front end of the note.

Finger Lickin' Chicken Pickin'

Bust out your double stop bends and major pentatonic string-skipping chops with this bright and tight sound that provides some seriously squishy compression and a healthy clean boost.

Power Boost

Philosopher's Tone can add considerable punch to your overall sound. This setting blends in just a bit of clean sound with a moderate amount of compression to help beef up your signal. The Treble control gets parked at noon for a natural frequency response.

Sustainer

Max out the Sustain control to find out how the Philosopher's Tone pedal can transform lead to gold. A 50/50 clean blend allows your natural pick attack to shine through while the compression comes up underneath and then takes over, providing unrivaled sustain.

Limiter

Rolling the Sustain knob all the way counterclockwise causes the Philosopher's Tone to act like a limiter, leveling out peaks and smoothing the overall dynamic response of the guitar. This can be very useful both at the end of a long chain of pedals or right up front, driving the entire rig.
