Pro-Level Modeling

Since we announced MG-300 the best-budget compact modeler on the market ever—people started noticing our TS/AC-HD (White-Box) Modeling Algorithm. It offers you realistic amp response and playability. And now, the MG-30 provides you better definition from HD to 2K !

With 2 powerful NXP® RT processors, MG-30 drives 1024 samples Impulse Response resolution with ultra-low system latency to give you tight and fast response.

Premium 32-bit 2-channel AD/DA converters realize "high quality sound performance". MG-30 has super wide dynamic range ~ 110dB !

4" Large Colorful LCD

Intuitive user interface with a large colorful LCD lets you get rid of reading manuals.

The 5-way encoder navigates lets you for quick editing, signal block routing, jack setting, and more. Signal block indicator presents current status, and helps you quickly engage/bypass or edit related effects.

Holding the HOME/GLOBAL BUTTON enters the Global Setting. Here you'll find lots of great application designs.

Amp Models ~ Less is More!

Working musicians don't need hundreds of mediocre amp models.

Knowing this, we focused on 35 classic essentials, and made each and every one live up to the standards of the most demanding players. Included in our top-shelf collection are: 28 electric guitar amp models, 2 acoustic amp models, 5 bass amp models.

Need to record a bass track? MG-30 offers 5 great bass amp models and 8 bass cab IRs.Simulating an acoustic guitar sound? MG-30 provides 3 acoustic IRs and 2 acoustic amp models for electric guitar to simulate acoustic guitar sound.

*Note: We offer BIAS parameter on Valve Amp Models, so you can tweak it to adjust the warmth of your sound. For cathode biased power amp, there is no BIAS parameter.

Impulse Response

NUX created the iconic Solid Studio which was famous for its great sounding cab IRs with 8 legendary mics and 3 mic positions so we decided to include these beloved IRs into the MG-30. And, yes, we also included bass cab IRs andacoustic IRs. For each patch, you can load a 3rd party IR. It means you can load 32*4=128 IRs into the MG-30.

*Note: MG-30 drives 1024 samples IR resolution.

Pro Scene Selection

Navigate through three distinct scenes within a single preset, each offering a unique sound configuration. With the Pro Scene Selection feature, you can change effects models, amp models, settings, and more, all within the same preset. This capability is ideal for live performances where quick sound changes are crucial, allowing you to switch seamlessly between different tones and setups. Whether you need a clean sound for verses, a crunchy tone for choruses, or a lead boost for solos, Pro Scene Selection ensures that you're always ready with the perfect sound at the tap of a footswitch.

I/O

The versatile I/O can let you run 4 cable method or connect with other effects. You can adjust the SEND / RETURN Loop at any position in the signal path.

The EXP1 can be used with expression pedal or with NUX NMP-2 LITE to remote signal blocks.

*Note: Why doesn't MG-30 offer Stomp Mode? With the NMP-2 LITE and CTRL, you can remote 3 signal blocks as stomp application. So the delay and reverb has trail when you disengage it.

Recap: V4 Firmware Update

• LSTAR Amp Model released.
• Tuner & Looper habits remembering. MG-30 will save the last setup of the Tuner or the Looper while you quit. Looper: STEREO / MONO, NR/AR, DRUM STYLE, TEMPO, etc. Tuner: CHROMATIC/GUITAR, A4, etc.
• Press Knob 4 in the edit mode to revert to the last saved settings. While you tweak the signal block, press Knob 4 to retrieve the last saved settings.
• MIDI CC controls WAH engage/disengage.
• WAH engage/disengage via CTRL footswitch.
• PATCH ROLLING via holding the UP or the DOWN footswitches. Hold the UP or the DOWN footswitches to trigger PATCH ROLLING. You can go UP/DOWN to the desired patch slot, then press CTRL to enter.

• AMP Block: VIVO - Many users requested the iconic brown sound of EVH. We also love Eddie and want to pay tribute to him. So here it is, the VIVO. The VIVO features our next-generation TS/AC-4K amp modeling with power amp transformer algorithm. You can feel the quick response for low end, which is distinguished from other high-gain amp models. (The NUX algorithm team is working on TS/AC-4K currently, and we hope to bring you more in the near future. As you know, WHITE-BOX algorithm requires much more efforts to develop and optimize the Amp Modeling, especially related to DSP power. For the price of the MG-30, with free updates, it’s MORE THAN EXPECTED!)
• F Princeton: The iconic blackface small watts clean amp with 10” speaker in mid-60’s. This classic amp can be fairly clean from a pair of 6V6 tubes.
• Slo 100: Improved Slo100 with TS/AC-4K algorithm. Super Lead Overdirve sets the standard for modern high gain amplication since 1987. Slo100 provides additional gain, perfectly balancing presence and body, ideal for rhythm tones or soaring leads.
• BRIT 2000: Improved BRIT 2000 with TS/AC-4K algorithm. An acronym for "Dual Super Lead," the BRIT 2000 DSL offers you the legendary Plexi and JCM800 tones in one box.

EFX Block: RED FUZZ, TOUCH WAH

DLY Block: Φ PHI DELAY

ΦPhi Delay is a digital delay with golden ratio 2nd repeat head. It makes your guitar sound more musical.

VOL Block: MIN, MAX Settings & Flexible Order within Patch

You can control the Volume pedal in a flexible signal chain for each patch.

EXP, EXP1, Footswitch Assignment

• CTRL Assignment: 

  DLY -> S.Tap On/Off (Smart Tap Tempo)

  SCENE -> S3 ON/OFF

• Tip/Ring: SCENE, RVB HF
• EXP/EXP1: short press -> Parameter MAX / MIN setup

* EXP pedal behavior with FX - after disengaging the pedal, FX goes back to the value before engaging the pedal.

Patch Rolling: You can rotate the patches with the Joystick.

System Restore: SYSTEM INSPECTION, GHOST BACKUP, GHOST RESTORE

In order to avoid unknown data missing accident, now you can do GHOST BACKUP on the device. Although not common, if a data error occurs, you can do GHOST RESTORE immediately.

To make sure GHOST BACKUP is completed, please do FACTORY RESET after you do GHOST BACKUP.

* We removed the old GHOST function on QuickTone™ accordingly, because the V3 data structure has been changed and the old GHOST is no longer compatible.

IR Collection: 24 Slots

Now the IR COLLECTION is loaded in the device directly, and you can choose any of them to USER slot (THIRD-PARTY).

*128 patches with USER slots + 24 IR COLLECTION slots = 152 slots
