Pure Analog Octave Fuzz

Octava is an all-analog octave fuzz / frequency doubler featuring an on-board low pass Filter control that allows you to achieve singing octave up tones anywhere on the neck, without adjusting your guitar's tone control. A front-end Drive and gushing Fuzz circuit add signal power and easily convert Octava to shoegazey fuzz pedal capable of producing devastating, full-wave rectified distortion. Use the Blend knob to mix the octave up effect on top of your dialed-in drive.

Features

Knob-by-Knob

• Volume: Sets the overall output volume.
• Blend: Mixes in the octave-up effect.
• Filter: A low-pass filter tone knob. Sets the cutoff frequency of the low pass filter on the input of the Octave circuit.
• Drive: Mixes in warm front-end overdrive by increasing the gain of the J-FET preamp stage.
• Fuzz: Activates the fuzz circuit.

All Analog, Still Versatile

Built with the theory of "do one thing and do it well" paired with the flexibility of more diverse effects units, the Octava transitions seamlessly between a singing octave-up to an overflowing fuzz, and every blended tone between.

The Octava Ribbons

Parallel ribbons made up of complex patternwork wave ever-so-slightly in the blackness of space. It is from this mysterious place Octava was harvested. Pretty much sounded like a badass octave fuzz.

TONE MAPS

Octave Blend

This setting provides a half-wave rectified, 'octave up' blended 50/50 with your clean signal. The Filter knob is turned all the way up so there is no loss of the guitar's natural treble and the Volume is turned way up for a robust output.

Octave Bloom

Turn on the Fuzz circuit, crank the front-end Drive up to noon and roll the Filter knob back for a blooming octave fuzz sound that gets more intense as you travel up the neck. Also works well with power chords to create a wall of sound.

Overdrive Octavia

Maxing out the Blend and Drive controls with the Fuzz turned off lets the FET driver on the front end slam the octave up circuit, taking on the highly dynamic timbre of the late 60's Octavia pedals made for Hendrix by Roger Mayer.

Loveless Fuzz

Did we mention how good the Fuzz circuit sounds? This tone is a dream for big, stable chords and a 90s shoegaze aesthetic.

Bass Destructor

Do not underestimate the power an Octava can have when used with bass guitar! A mixture of drive and blended octave up create a thunderous bass tone with slicing treble, gnarly mids and tight, pounding low end. Add Fuzz if you dare.
