Hi-Fi Analog Echo
Our flagship pedal, the Supro Delay offers the vintage echo effects of the 60s and 70s while showcasing the latest in pedal technology. The all-analog Supro Delay comes equipped with a pair of high-voltage MN3005 IC chips capable of producing up to 600ms of delay time, while providing dramatically increased headroom, dynamic range, and clarity. The newly-designed Filter knob ranges from low-pass to band-pass functions, spanning from dark, warm, and murky tones to crisp and bright tape echoes. Additionally, an assignable Expression pedal control provides the player with the ability to switch between Repeats, Time, and Level while maintaining custom knob settings. Runs on standard 9VDC.
FEATURES
Knob-by-Knob
- Level: Sets the volume of the delay
- Time: Sets the length of the delay
- Filter: Contours the tone of the delay
- Repeats: Sets the amount of feedback in the delay line
- Expression: Selects which knob is controlled by the expression pedal
Iconic Design
Drawing inspiration from the golden era of analog pedals and recording to tape, the Supro Delay was designed by Howard Davis, master engineer behind the legendary late-1970’s EHX Deluxe Memory Man and the Pigtronix Echolution.
TONE MAPS
- Doubler - The doubler effect adds fatness and vibrancy to your guitar sound. This short delay with minimal repeats was used extensively in the 70’s and 80’s to create some of the most recognizable rock guitar tones of the era. This effect has an even more dramatic effect when used in a WET / DRY setup, with the delay running into only one side of a two amp rig.
- Tape Slap - Welcome to Nashville. Slapback echo is one of the most popular guitar effects of all time as well as one of the most useful. Depending on how you set the timing, the slapback effect can be utilized to make it sound like you are playing twice as fast as you are actually picking.
- DMM - Designed by Howard Davis in 1978, The original EHX Deluxe Memory man is easily the most iconic analog delay pedal of the 20th Century. Created with guidance from the original DMM designer, the Supro Delay pedal carries a lot of the same DNA forward using authentic, high-voltage MN3005 BBD chips. Set all the knobs at noon and adjust Repeats to taste.
- Long Dark Delay - Turning the Filter knob all the way counter-clockwise cuts the high-frequency response of the delay line all the way down to 1kHz. This creates an atmospheric wash that will drift on forever into the distance, growing progressively darker and more indistinct with each repeat.
- EchoPlexi - Turning the Filter knob all the way clockwise creates a bandpass effect that shaves off low end to match the frequency response of a vintage tape echo. Also adding to the tape-like nature of this effect are the high-headroom BBD chips in the Supro Delay which will produce lovely analog saturation when pushed hard. Don’t be afraid to use compressors, drives, fuzzes and or distortion pedals in front of the Supro Delay or even put it in the effects loop of your favorite tube amp."
